Lecture Programmes

The Society runs a programme of events from September to May/June the following year. Apart from AGM, which takes place on the third or fourth Tuesday in September, the Society usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.45pm from October to April in the Lakeview Suite, Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre, Lakeview Road, Craigavon - close to Rushmere Shopping Centre.

Our AGM is followed at 8.00pm by the Philip Wilson Memorial Lecture which is a open to the public. Click here to view current programme. Visitors are also welcome to any of our other lectures on a one-off basis.

We have an annual dinner each year, usually on the first Tuesday in February and, in recent years, this has also been held in the Craigavon Civic Centre. In May, we have an evening outing on a Tuesday to an area of historic interest and at the end of May or beginning of June we have our annual Saturday outing by coach to somewhere a little further away, generally alternating north and south of the border. This year we had an excellent tour of Dundalk Museum, Monasterboice, Mellifont and the Boyne Centre with a short fstop to inspect work on the sea lock of the Boyne Navigation. Last year we had an equally successful visit the Gracehill and the North Antrim Coast. Annual outings are open to members of their society and their friends (space permitting).
